The full-length and full ring-wrap chainguard on the Jamis Miss Daisy keep clothes and legs cleanly and safely out of the way of the chain. Those attractively painted fenders keep the rain and mud off the bike and the rider, and look cute to boot. The soft and comfortable foam grips feature a smooth vinyl cover that is embossed and stitched to match the saddle and decal theme. Those wide Brooklyn Speedway tires offer a large contact patch for greater stability, with a smooth tread surface for easy rolling, and hold plenty of air volume for a more comfortable ride. The pedals offer a non-slip insert that keeps feet and shoes in full contact even when wet for safe and secure pedaling, too. Every 16-inch Miss Daisy offers stabilizing training wheels that assist the young rider in learning how to pedal, steer, and balance a bike for the first time. The training wheel support struts attach securely both to the rear hub axle and the frame itself so that the training wheels don’t rotate out of plane with the rear wheel, preventing tips or spills.

Every Jamis youth bike uses size-specific items like grips, saddles and cranks that enhance comfort and control by providing the best possible bike fit. We focus on designing frames with low stand-overs to take much of the awkwardness out of getting on board and dismounting after. We trim as much weight as we can with lightweight aluminum frames on many of the youth models and use aluminum parts where possible (the limiting factor here is working within a youth-bike-appropriate price point) to work towards that make-it-as-light-as-possible goal.

EASY ACCESS We're super proud of the Citizen's sleek frame design. With an arcing top tube for the "Men's" frames and S-bend top and down tubes for a super-low step-through "Women's" version. In fact, we hesitate to designate either with gender specific labels because the version with the easy-access, low step-over top tube is suitable for anyone with limited hip flexibility who might be challenged to swing a leg over the rear wheel when mounting & dismounting. EASY ON THE NECK & BACK A usual complaint from new or returning riders trying to get into the cycling groove is feeling uncomfortably perched forward with too much weight on their wrists and having to crank their necks backwards just to be able to see in traffic. We specifically designed our Citizens to remedy this. The large diameter 700c wheels push handlebar height up and shorter top tubes pull handlebars closer to the saddle, all to mitigate forward lean. Our 4-inch rise handlebars sweep back at a natural hand-grasp angle with a long-quilled or angle-adjustable stem that allows for a wide range of adjustment to tune handle bar height and reach perfectly for each ride. GEARED TO GO The shifting systems on all our Citizens feature long cage rear derailleurs, full-size 48/38/28T triple-chainring cranksets (single 44t chainring for Citizen base model) and big 11-32T or 14-34T gearing in the back. This gives you the dual advantage of having fairly tall gears for controlled pedaling at speed on descents as well as really low gearing for easier pedaling uphill. It's a rider-friendly combination that's made the Citizens a perennial favorite of recreational cyclists.

Veltrix is a carbon monocoque frame born for competition: quick, easy handling and high performance. Its easy handling makes it suitable for multiple uses. This bike is perfect for the pro but also suitable for those who want to ride at a less competitive pace. These wise uses of carbon fiber along with an optimal sizing of the sections of the frame elements make it a particularly high performance vehicle. About Cinelli: Founded in 1948 by Cino Cinelli, an Italian road cyclist who became a professional racer between 1937 to 1944. Cinelli won the Milan–San Remo in 1943, the Giro di Lombardia in 1938, and the Tour of the Apennines in 1937. Cino became interested in bicycle technology after experiencing mechanical failures during races. He began developing innovative new product designs, but failed to gain manufacturer support from others in the bike industry. So Cino partnered with his brother Giotto, who was producing steel stems and bars in Florence. He soon moved the company to Milan, which had become the center of the Italian cycling industry…and art. In 1978, Antonio Colombo, owner of the world-renowned Columbus tubing, assumed presidency of the company, and in 1997 Cinelli became a division of Gruppo S.r.l. The company is still—to this day—run very much like a family business. And like all lovers of cycling, Antonio still very much enjoys riding bikes.
